We are partners, parents, grandparents, captains, community builders and each other’s favorite reason to laugh.
2005
It started at work—and quickly became forever.
We met as supervisors on a start-up healthcare project. Within six months, TK proposed with a watch, Guerry answered with a ring, and six months later we married in Pembroke Pines. Two proposals, one wholehearted yes.
Every home added a chapter.
From South Florida to Northern Virginia and now Maryland, every move became part of our story. Along the way, we earned MBAs and certifications and found shared joy in boating as captains, vineyards, waterfalls, cultural food and travel.
Growth means giving back.
Service remains central to our lives—from healthcare and business leadership to Guerry’s work with The Parents’ Place of Maryland, 100 Black Men, the Masons and the Shriners.
Through joy and pain, we have faced every season together. Our bond keeps deepening because we always know we have each other’s back—and we never stop finding reasons to laugh.

RSVPs for Friday’s catered vow renewal and day party are now closed, and additional responses are no longer being accepted. The remaining experiences are à la carte and still available to select. We’ll begin in Sonesta’s penthouse ballroom, surrounded by some of the most beautiful ocean views in Fort Lauderdale, as we renew our vows in the company of those who have shaped our story. Then we’ll continue in Infinity, where a delicious brunch will be served before we turn up the music and celebrate the years ahead.
Attire: Chic Cocktail. Elegant, camera-ready and celebratory, with a refined coastal point of view.
Come ready to dance: wear comfortable shoes—or bring a pair to change into—because we’ll be partying and dancing Nelson style.
Come hungry: a delicious brunch will be served as part of the hosted celebration.
Ceremony in Horizons, followed by the celebration in Infinity at Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach, with sweeping penthouse-level views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Sonesta valet is $15. Allow time to park and be seated before the ceremony begins.
This celebration is hosted. A cash bar will be available.

Vibrant Indian cuisine and lively conversation bring us together on Las Olas before Friday night continues.
Dinner is à la carte, with each guest purchasing their own meal and beverages.
Seats are limited. Confirm dinner even if you are already joining Friday’s daytime celebration.

A live orchestra performs R&B favorites from Drake’s catalog in an intimate candlelit setting inside The Sanctuary. This is an orchestral tribute; Drake is not performing.

Onboard karaoke with microphones, vibrant LED light shows and upbeat music.
Attire: Fort Lauderdale Resort Casual. Think elevated T-shirts or polos, tailored shorts, breezy dresses, boat shoes, wedges or clean sneakers—easy, colorful and waterfront-ready.
BYOB-friendly: guests may bring their own beverages to enjoy during the ride.
Estimated cost: $20 per person. The ride ends at Shooters Waterfront.
Exact pickup time, payment instructions and rider assignments will be sent to confirmed participants. If the ride cannot operate safely, lunch remains on schedule and guests will go directly to Shooters.

The karaoke ride will drop confirmed riders directly at Shooters.

Meet us at The Wild Thyme Lounge inside The Atlantic Hotel & Spa for an anniversary lounge experience steps from the ocean.
After-Dark Glam: polished, sophisticated and ready to make an entrance.
Drinks will be available from the cash bar.
Keep the night going: if the mood carries us, optional after-party club plans may follow after 11:00 PM for anyone ready for one more chapter.

We’ll close the celebration with the venue’s viral Weekend Brunch, hosted in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot, and raise a toast to twenty years behind us and forever ahead.
Attire: Brunch Chic / Smart Casual. Polished, celebratory and ready for our final group photograph.
The House on the River is a historic downtown Fort Lauderdale venue with vibrant riverside dining.
Signature brunch boards, seafood platters and oysters will be available à la carte.
Bubbly drinks and Veuve are available for purchase by the glass or bottle.
Please RSVP so the restaurant can prepare the correct table size.
